Fixing Co-Management Device Collection Sync Issues with Intune
Co-managed environments offer a powerful combination of Microsoft Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Microsoft Intune. However, device collection sync issues can arise, causing frustration for IT admins.
In this blog post, we’ll explore common causes of co-managed devices not syncing to Intune, and provide a step-by-step solution to help you resolve these issues.
Common Causes
- Configuration errors in SCCM console
- Incorrect Azure AD device record
Review Co-Management Configuration
Begin by reviewing your co-management configuration within the SCCM console. Ensure that all settings are correctly configured, and that the proper co-management role is assigned to your collection.
Check CoManagementHandler Logs
Next, check the CoManagementHandler.log for any errors. This log file can provide valuable insights into what’s causing sync issues between SCCM and Intune.
Verify Azure AD Device Record
Verify that your Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) device record is healthy and correctly configured. Any issues with the device record may cause co-management sync problems.
Re-enabling Co-Management for Affected Devices
If you’ve identified affected devices, re-trigger co-management enrollment for those devices to resolve sync issues.
Monitoring Co-Management Dashboard
Finally, monitor the co-management dashboard in both SCCM and Intune to ensure that all devices are syncing correctly.
